More security for cashless payments with PCI PED compliant magnetic heads
In addition to the approved chip card connectors with PCI PED protection Amphenol Tuchel Electronics has developed secure solutions for magnetic heads. By way of using the new tap-proof magnetic heads from Amphenol Tuchel data from the magnetic stripe can be securely transmitted to the PCB. This means a significantly improved protection for sensitive information such as bank account data. The innovative "e;multi-layer-flexprint"e; concept is not only protecting the communication line but is also a specific part of the magnetic head itself. Supplementary to the 2-point-mounting (see picture) this new concept can also be applied to all Hybrid readers.
