Conductive Textiles Lead The Way!
novonic® and tex|mate® offer a unique textile, flexible connection for power, data and heat.
Heated interior linings in the car, illuminated and heated curtains and even loudspeaker-wallpaper can now be realised. High-tech textiles with intelligent solutions for data and power transmission will make this possible in the future. Heated covers and textiles for monitoring the pulse are already with us today. This is made possible by the characteristics found in the textile combination of novonic® und tex|mate®. It offers durable flexibility over many years combined with a tensility of up to 300%, together with an electrical conductivity and wash resistance up to 60?C. Additional applications in medical or automatic control technologies, for example as a tensile stress sensor to detect the tiniest localised strain, are just as easily achieved.
The unique novonic® ribbon from the yarn producer Zimmermann is stretchable, conductive and ideally suited to carry data, power and heat. Novonic is complemented by a tex|mate® connector. The multi-purpose connection solution from Amphenol Tuchel Electronics establishes the secure connection of the application to the power supply or data source.
novonic® is a patented textile and elastic cable which, owing to its electrical conductivity, is capable of transmitting data, power and heat. Novonic hardly differs in weight, flexibility and wearing comfort from conventional textile fabrics. The innovative elastic cables are created from core yarn, thin silver wires and textile yarn coating by means of yarn twisting technology. The resulting conductive yarn can be further processed by the usual textile technical processes. In this manner fabrics are formed that can be used for electrical heating and data transfer.
tex|mate® is a connector that is designed to meet the specific requirements of textile cables in respect of connector technology, haptic and strain relief.
